manual consumption entry slows everything down.
Notes on paper. Posting at the end of the shift. Guesswork on variances.
And by the time the numbers hit the system, the moment has already passed.
So we helped a customer flip the whole thing on its head.
Using Dynamics 365, handheld scanning, and a very handy AI Worker, we moved them to real-time consumption posting — straight from the shop floor.
Here’s what actually changed:
• Scan a pallet → consumption posted instantly
• AI Worker handles the posting + validation (no more backflushing marathons)
• Supervisors suddenly have real-time dashboards and can see what’s happening as it happens
The best part?
Accuracy went up. Wastage went down. And the shop floor just… flowed better.
It’s a simple shift, but the impact is huge.
